The account of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey (@jack) suffered an attack on Friday night, as confirmed by the official Twitter warning account. A group calling itself the Chuckling Squad, the same hackers who have attacked famous YouTubers such as James Charles and Shane Dawson, claim to be responsible. The hackers tweeted racial and anti-Semitic slurs and more than a dozen tweets and retweets for 20 minutes before Twitter did anything. But finally the Twitter team reported that it had been able to "secure" Dorsey's account and that "there are no indications that Twitter's systems have been compromised.

Apparently, it had to do with "the phone number associated with the account" that "was compromised" due to issues related to the telecom company that provides service to the phone, but that the problem had already been "resolved." The group that said it was responsible for the attack on Dorsey's account has already attacked YouTubers, such as makeup and Instagram star James Charles The hacking group that identified itself as taking over Dorsey's account has previously targeted YouTubers, including James Charles. Twitter Before claiming they were responsible for the tweets from Dorsey's account, the Chuckling Squad , as they identify themselves, hacked famous YouTubers such as James Charles, Shane Dawson, King Bach, Etika and Amanda Cerny, all  on the last two weeks. Charles, the most recent, threatened in a tweet with legal action pointing out that AT&T was to blame for the Chuckling Squad  having access to his account. Twitter has yet to confirm who hacked Dorsey's account or how, but Dorsey's account during that time tweeted a link to the same Discord server whose administrator posted screenshots  from YouTuber Etika's Google email account.
