What bothers you on the island I am afraid of the perception that people have about tourism development. I believe that Syros should have a mild touristic development lasting throughout the year. I consider the planned extension of the airport a huge crime. I consider the tourist exploitation of Apano Meria an imminent crime. I consider the arrival of additional tourists in the two months of JulyAugust to be extremely foolish because the island cannot accept more. I think the emphasis should be on bringing in quality tourism throughout the year. How do you judge the cultural events that take place in Syros If we exclude the events of the local bodies which must be strengthened and held throughout the year any other cultural event that takes place must be of a high quality.

There should in my opinion be a short but highly significant series of cultural e-commerce photo editing events held in June or September and not in the two months of JulyAugust. On the other hand few cultural events could be organized in the winter but always of high quality. Is there any form of  Circle branch and local bodies I have not requested any subsidy from the Municipality and I do not want to deprive any support from local cultural bodies. But I know that the Municipality has refused to support local amateur. I had asked the Prefectural SelfGovernment to support teachers and professors in order to attend my seminars but they refused.

  

They also refused from the Prefecture to give an amount to build a cinema club for the Syrian audience. They also refused aid from the Region for the equipment I invested here which is in the order of forty million drachmas. Is there a bitterness on your part in dealing with the agencies I wouldn't call it bitterness. But it is a shame that there is a place and a person who knows five things and it is not used. I would like what I do not only for people who come from outside but also with those who are here. There is a trend that does not want to distinguish between commercial or applied and socalled artistic or personal photography.
